ubtle, smooth, no bitter, astringent, dry flavors or aftertaste, starts slightly sweet, hints of roasted flavor, finishes exceptionally clean. Can be substituted 1:1 for de-bittered black malt. Excellent in black IPAs, schwarzbiers and stouts.
350 L - Rich roasted coffee, cocoa — Brown hues; use in all styles for color. Great for the production of most dark beers, especially porters.
Use in higher percentages in dark styles like Porter, Stout and Brown Ale.
500 L - Dry roasted, sharp to neutral — Use in dark beers for flavor; use in all styles for color with little flavor; has little impact on foam color....
