Water enters the system and flows through a 10 micron sediment filter (5). This filter will remove any suspended solids, such as dirt, from the water. Next water enters the 10 micron carbon filter (4). This filter absorbs chemicals like chlorine and VOC's. The carbon filter also protects the RO Membrane from premature degradation. Next water enters the RO membrane (6). This filter removes dissolved solids from the water. Lastly, the water enters a deionization filter (3). This filter removes charged ions in the water with a mixed resin bed.
